Southern Brandenburg
There are two other inner regions, each of which provides its own magic, the Spreeland south-east and the Havelland south-west of Berlin.

If you cross Berlin on the Spree (or go around the south of the capital on the Teltow Canal), you reach Köpenick. It is here that the Dahme feeds into the Spree from the south. Follow the Dahme and its lagoons to the water crossing at Prieros. Go a bit farther and you can travel through the headwaters of the Dahme, stop off at sophisticated Bad Saarow or head for the peace and quiet of Teupitz.

Passing the west of Berlin on the Havel: you need to estimate almost two days of travel to reach Potsdam from Zehdenick. Lovely Havelland is then in front of you. With Einstein's retreat Caputh, Werder island and finally the city of Brandenburg, it is a dream of a region. If you have more time, you can travel along the Havel until it opens out into the Elbe at Havelberg and from here marvel at the imposing cathedral.
